The diamond
Like oil was begottenFrom the beauty of nature itselfThrough pressure over time heaped So is transformed the passionateFor eons being heaped with guiltInto a shadow of itselfA cynic, joyless, lifeless Passion, where art thou?Be hidden in the bonds of tearsCould it be regained yet? From the depth where it slumbered Yet when the yoke is seen for what it beIt will surface back to theeRevealing the diamond it hath becomeUnbroken, indestructible, transformed

Like oil was begotten
From the beauty of nature itself
Through pressure over time heapedSo is transformed the passionate
For eons being heaped with guilt
Into a shadow of itself
A cynic, joyless, lifelessPassion, where art thou?
Be hidden in the bonds of tears
Could it be regained yet?
From the depth where it slumberedYet when the yoke is seen for what it be
It will surface back to thee
Revealing the diamond it hath become
Unbroken, indestructible, transformedBrilianty reflecting a facet from Heaven itself
